Leamington, Ontario

We arrived at the Leamington, Ontario Municipal Marina late this afternoon. Most commonly, when arriving to a country by sailboat, your captain takes the passports of the crew members to the immigration office. It may be onsite at the marina, across the street, across town, or remote via telephone. Due to Covid-19 most countries have altered their policies. Canada, like most of the world, requires you to submit your passport and Covid-19 vaccination records along with your application for entry online. Captain Doug gathered our documents and made our submission. We were given a greenlight to come to the remote Port of Entry at Leamington, Ontario. Once we arrived, Doug called the Immigration Office to report our arrival. Typical entry questions were asked by immigration, we were given a few instructions, and then the officer said the words we were waiting to hear, "Welcome to Canada."
